Can’t find what you’re looking for?

If your needs can’t be met with existing photos, complete the photo request form (at right). A photo request form must be filled out and submitted for all assignments at least five working days in advance. The communications department will support projects that advance the image of the university to external constituents. Professional photography coverage will be prioritized to ensure that campus-related images can be used in multiple internal and external publications and websites.

Top priorities include:

  • Flagship university publications (such as Missouri S&T Magazine, marketing brochures, recruitment publications and collateral) and websites produced by the communications department and intended for key external audiences
  • Professional portraits (used for university websites and displays)
  • News photos for release to media
  • Chancellor-sponsored events
  • Events that advance Missouri S&T's image

Professional photography services will not be scheduled for internal events unrelated to the external promotion of Missouri S&T, such as banquets and receptions. However, to assist in these areas, the communications office will provide 1) snapshot-style photography ($25 per hour); 2) a list of reputable, freelance photographers; or 3) an easy-to-use “point and shoot? camera on loan.

The on-loan camera must be signed out from the communications office (105 CSF) under the following restrictions:

  • Borrower is a university employee and must present ID card with valid employee number
  • Departmental MoCode will be debited if the camera isn't returned by the appointed time, typically 24 to 48 hours, or if equipment is damaged or lost)
  • Unit is responsible for downloading the images from the camera to departmental computer (copy of instructions and camera bag will be provided with loaner camera)

With limited staff and a great demand for services, there will be times and dates when requests will conflict with campus priorities. When those conflicts can't be avoided, the communications department will follow the above priorities to determine which requests are filled. These decisions are not taken lightly and will be made for the greater need as well as the greater advantage of the university.
